We love movies. We work in movies. We have strong opinions about movies. We are constantly asked, "have you seen anything good lately?" And perhaps far too many times we’ve found ourselves tongue-tied, forgetting titles and the creative team behind our favorite films. Or perhaps we know the facts of the film, but haven’t taken the time to truly think about and verbalize why the film moved us as artists.

Whatever your job is in the industry, a well-developed and articulated opinion has power: It garners your respect as a thoughtful, passionate human being, worthy of hiring, befriending and building a connection with. It draws fellow creatives who resonate with your particular sensibilities. And most importantly, it helps you dream and envision the kinds of films you want to make. We created this event to provide a safe forum where we can all fine-tune our taste and build confidence. No job is on the line if you stumble through, we’re all here to learn and grow and have fun together.
